Day 2. Casa Rural, Baztan

Easy circular walk from the village along the old paths to a 5000 year old dolmen (burial chamber),  around a beautiful wooded valley.  The views and atmosphere are really special in this rural paradise where time stands still.  In the afternoon we’ll visit the town of Elizondo.  There’s an interesting museum and some great cake shops!   Dinner in the Casa.

Day 5.  Casa Rural, Zumaia

Hike along the cliffs from Zumaia - fabulous views and remarkable geology – the layered rock formations here are fascinating and very beautiful.  Picnic on the beach.  Dinner at the Casa.

Day 6.  Casa Rural, Zumaia

We’ll follow the Northern Camino de Santiago along an ancient track  including traces of a Roman road  from Zumaia to the fishing harbour at Getaria.  The route is through the Txakoli wine region and we’ll stop in to a winery for a visit and taste of this light, dry, white wine along the way.
