Enjoy a three day trek from hut to hut
in the beautiful border region of western Aragón.
We provide you with route notes and a GPS with waypoints
input for you and transfer your luggage for you so you can
enjoy trekking with a light pack. The route takes you through
some of the very best scenery of the Pyrenees and the wildlife
and flowers are nothing short of spectacular. This trek starts
on any day you choose from June to October inclusive.
As the walking is unguided you should have some experience
in the hills and know how to use a map and compass in conjunction
with the route notes we provide. The provided GPS will also
help your navigation. |

DAY 1 Refugio de Linza D
Arrive at Linza Refuge PM. Trek briefing before supper. You can safely leave your car here until the end of the trek.
DAY 2 Hostal Bisaltico B D
Walk up a beautiful valley to the Col de Ansó where you head into France beneath the impressive rocks of the Aiguilles d'Ansabere which dominate the Cirque de Lescun. Follow the Pyrenean High Route up to the border ridge and on to the beautiful Atcherito lake on the Spanish side of the ridge. Follow a path down to the head of the Hecho valley where we pick you up and transfer you to the Bisaltico Albergue.
DAY 3 Refugio de Lizara B D
Transfer to the start of the walk (where you finished yesterday). Walk along the Aguas Tuertas Valley and up to the Estanés lake. From here you climb south up to a beautiful hanging valley and descend beneath the towering walls of Pico Bisaurin to the Lizara refuge.
DAY 4 Refugio de Gabardito B D
Walking west up to the Col de Foraton from where there are several options – climb Bisaurin (2669m) for amazing views, do a stunning ridge walk or simply head down the valley past an impressive vulture colony and on to the hut. Collect your car.
DAY 5 The Trek Finishes B |

The refugios and Albergue Bisaltico have bunk beds in dormitories (usually small - 4/6 people), hot showers and serve good, filling food. They are all in beautiful situations.
FOOD
Good breakfasts and dinners are included in the
holiday price. You can get packed lunches from the
huts at a cost of about 6 euros. |
