Sea Kayaking has to be the most satisfying way to explore the coast. There is nothing quite like paddling along wild cliffs, discovering secret beaches and getting up close to wildlife and seabirds without disturbing them.

Just 30 minutes from Bilbao airport, the Urdaibai World Biosphere Reserve is ideal for paddling, with a beautiful coastline of beaches, cliffs and fishing harbours and a sheltered estuary for learning and flat water paddling. The water is notably warmer here than UK waters. Itineraries are adapted according to weather conditions, your ability and your requirements. Available from April to the end of October. DAY 1
Learn to control your kayak and essential capsize and rescue technique while paddling and exploring the wonderful Urdaibai estuary.

DAY 2
Paddle along one of the most beautiful parts of the Basque coast, stopping off at idyllic beaches and fishing villages.

Price: £85.00 per person per day
Minimum group size 2. Minimum duration 2 days.
Includes: Kayaks, buoyancy aid, wetsuit (when necessary) and all paddling equipment, qualified kayaking instructor, picnic lunch, transport to and from where you are staying.

To enjoy sea kayaking safely you need to be reasonably fit and be a competent swimmer.

We use stable, easily controllable sea kayaks which are ideal for getting to grips with this wonderful sport. We also have expedition kayaks suitable for more experienced paddlers.
