Two one week riding treks exploring the canyons, high plateaux, villages and olive groves of the Pre Pyrenees. For exhilarating riding in a wild and beautiful landscape these treks cannot be bettered.

The treks are guided by experienced and gifted horseman Bertrand Cauchy who has a unique understanding of horses. His horses are well mannered Hispano Arabs, all trained by him with expertise and sensitivity to give an excellent ride.

Bertrand is exceptional and highly professional in the care he gives to his horses and it is not unusual to find him sleeping outside with them during the treks! Bertrand is also a member of the Spanish national endurance riding team and is a great source of information about the Sierras and enjoys introducing riders to the magic of this rarely visited region.

The treks are challenging rides demanding good riding skills for some long days in the saddle, often over rough terrain. Riding is american style (i.e. no trotting) but with normal saddles. You ride through truly spectacular scenery from village to village staying in casas rurales (farm guesthouses) and hotels.

The Sierras are protected Natural Parks teeming with flowers and wildlife, most noticeably the huge griffon vultures that are always to be seen soaring on thermals above the canyons. Groups are a maximum of 8 people with an international mix. English and French is spoken.
