DAY 1 Hotel in Benasque D
Flight to Zaragoza and transfer to Benasque (2½ hours).
DAY 2 Angel Orus Refuge B L D
An easy walk up the Eriste valley to the Angel Orus hut (2095m) below Pico Posets. There will be time for exploring some of the nearby peaks in this beautiful landscape.
DAY 3 Angel Orus Refuge B L D
Climb up Posets (3375m), for many
the finest peak of the Pyrenees with possibly the best views
of the range. Return to the Angel Orus hut.
DAY 4 Estós Refuge B D
A great day walking over a high pass from
the Angel Orus hut to the always stunning, flower studded
Estós Valley to stay at the hut there (1890m). This
is a magical valley and you'll appreciate having time to explore
at your own pace.
DAY 5 Renclusa Refuge B L D
We walk from the Estós valley to the Renclusa hut (2140m) which is perfectly situated as a base for climbing Aneto.
DAY 6 Hotel in Benasque B L D
Early
start (5.00am breakfast!) to climb Aneto (3404m) following
the classic route to the top via the Portillon Superior, across
the Aneto Glacier to the Col de Coronas and over the Puente
de Mahoma or Mohammed's Bridge to the summit. A challenging,
exhilarating day on the Pyrenees' highest peak.
DAY 7 Transfer B
Return to Zaragoza Airport (2½ hours) for your flight home.

MOUNTAIN REFUGES
The refuges used on the trek are in the heart of the mountains. They feature bunk beds in mixed dormitories, showers, good, filling food and areas to sit and relax.
HOTEL ARAGÜELLS
A very nice two star hotel in the village of Benasque with comfortable rooms and good breakfasts. |
