The Ordesa Canyon

Trumpet Gentians - best seen during June/July

A National Park for nearly a century, the Ordesa mountain sanctuary is justifiably the most famous area of the Pyrenees with its breathtaking canyons, high peaks and pristine flora and fauna. The six walks on well marked paths around the Ordesa Canyon, Añisclo Canyon and surrounding valleys show you the classic highlights and some wonderful, secret parts of the National Park.

There is something special about walking, alone, as a family, as a couple or with a few friends without having to worry about the logistics. It is also good to know that in the unlikely event of a problem in the hills that someone will alert mountain rescue. As the walking is unguided you should have some experience in the hills and know how to use a map and compass in conjunction with the route notes we provide.
